  • Hmmm ... Taylormade has not officially released the R-11. However one can find them on eBay.  I am sure the items on eBay are not counterfeit or stolen.

  • I did mean to imply that it was suspicious.

  • Looks like a police car.

And this thing won’t look like the other things too long.  With 2+ months to street date, I am guessing some of the knockoff (not conterfeit) brands will get a white driver or two out - and I wouldn’t bet against other majors even having a white driver already in the pipeline for release this spring or summer—it doesn’t take a genius to know this was coming.

In other color changes- on the heels of the ZStar Yellow from Srixon, now Bridgestone is releasing yellow and orange versions of the E6+.  With Callaway coming in with a new club line called Razr (I think this is actually the X-Series) - Callaway may be primed to release a Razr ball as well with different colors.

  • I saw the orange E6 models at Miles of Golf the other day. I like that idea. I’d like to see an HX Hot in orange (a natural, given the logo color scheme).

  • It didn’t take long for Hireko to offer their own white putters. I suspect it won’t take long for them to add white enamel instead of black to a couple of their driver models.

  • I picked up a box of orange and one of yellow at Dicks last week.

The orange is bad right now.  While orange is easily the most visible while the ball is in flight against an overcast sky, unless it is in the fairway, I lost it against the browner grasses and in the leaves way too easily.  I didn’t try the yellow, but I have have still been playing the Srixon a little, and the yellow can get lost in fallen leaves, but overall it is pretty easy to find.  With the fall colors, I think white may be the best right now.

But on another note, the orange E6 was the first E6 I have hit this year, and I forgot that I like that ball!

I am also playing that SnakeEyes (Perf. Tour 2?) ball you recommended - that is a great ball.  I also picked up a 30 pack of their two piece for the sub-40 degree days, and it is a pretty decent ball too (especially for 30 for $15)

  • I stocked up on the Snake Eyes Tour Performance—ten boxes. At $10 a dozen, it was an absolute steal.
