Replay the final 3 seconds of a golf SWING in slo-mo - For all the Golfers

The only controllable segment when videoing a Golf Swing is the END. By turning OFF recording you enable the software to play just the final 3 seconds (the Swing) in slow motion. What a simple solution to recording and playing back a multitude of golf swings (90+ per tournament) TIMES 2 camcorders: one behind and one across.

Golf swing clips can range from 3 to 15 or 20 seconds. Not that long but if played back in slow motion. It becomes way too long. A major New Feature of this software solved that. (it plays just the final 3 secs slo-mo) Now the nearly 200 video clips are set to play. Full speed and the 3-secs Slo-Mo

Within minutes of leaving the course. That video is up and playing on a large screen while the participants are having their supper and awards. The video files are all loaded & running off a 2GB USB stick. The Golfers just loved it.

If you use your video record button like THIS there will always be something worth showing in Slo-Mo right near the end. This measure of control over LIVE video events is better than nothing.

What a wack’em smack’em screen saver This is. Random video from 2 tournaments (nearly 400 shots) Full speed and Slow-motion for the last 3 seconds. Pure action.

This app is extremely fast because no editing is required. What other action sport lends itself to this? Darts, Horse Shoes ....?

Bring on the CamCorderCaddy

With Golf tournament videos being so easy to do. The next step should be to CamcorderCaddy a round with 2 or 3 golfers. How easy that would be. Their USB sticks would be loaded and ready to run showing their compete round with the last 3-secs in Slo-Mo. Within 20 minutes they will have all their putts, chips, drives and after hole comments and jabs. How much would that be worth $$$. How much fun that will be. How come nobody is doing this? Because they can’t.

More video control with the on/off switch

While showing those golf video clips after the supper; a number of golfers wanted to see their swing. But at the time we couldn’t easily do that. They were just 2 video clips in among 180 or so. Now there is a SOLUTION.

By creating an extremely short video as each group approaches the Tee (maybe showing a whiteboard containing the flight# and player names?); the program will use that as a “group break point”. That will now allow for the golfer to indicate which group they were in from the tournament sheet and we can replay their video and those of the rest of the players in that group. It will also enable us to play the videos random by group. For the Barrel racing it will randomly replay the video group for each racer. During this event we shut the camcorder off and immediately switch it back on after the horse and rider round each barrel. Randomly playing just part of the run wouldn’t be the same.

Here is what a respondent from another Forum said:

this is an honest-to-God useful feature. I’ve often wished the shuffle function on music devices could be made to work this way. The reason is that I mainly listen to classical music. Much of that music is divided into movements, with each movement being a separate track. The movements themselves are not independent, however, and in sequence form the complete work. So I’d like to be able to say, for instance, “Play all my Beethoven pieces in a random order”, and have Symphony #6 followed by Piano Concerto #5 rather than Symphony #6, movement II followed by Piano Concerto #5, movement I.

You put on the Golf tournament so why not provide the video promotional opportunities. How great is that..

SAMPLE of the Rotary Golf video demonstration at Osoyoos June 2010 (180 short video clips)

http://www.youtube.com/my_playlists?p=13A340479871BAC3

The DVD version is much Better. Higher resolution, Instant switching between mini clips and the last 3 seconds (the Swing) in Super Slow Motion..

This year we will have camcorders at 3 or more holes for even better coverage. The pros will be jealous. With 6 camcorders there will be 600+ video clips, that amount will still easily fit on a DVD.

The SPECIAL playback software recognizes a short-short video(2 secs or less) as a break record. So within 15 minutes of leaving the course, the Big Clubhouse screens will be up and playing random-by-foursome (by hole). Nobody can do this faster or easier.

Have the sponsor contribute a Mpg video or 2 to pitch for their latest and greatest NEW product!! These DVD’s will be keepers for all the participants…

What a cool screen saver, video of your friends at some of your favourite golf holes.

this is the playlist for the other tournament we videoed. A rainy day.

Some of the golfers didn’t have the perfect swing but got the job done.

Even people who don’t golf like watching.

Use of your ClubHouse big screens for local news & sport video

They can be an entertainment draw and a profit center $$$

Have your pro do a video tour of your course
Capture video from the 18 hole
Do birthday messages for your club members (Extra large font scrolling text)
throw in the odd real estate ad
Show your restaurant special of the day
post some local news and sport video (maybe a free drink for those who upload video to you)
Throw in the odd NET news item or local newspaper articles
Be the NEW soap box / speakers corner, accolades and raspberries for those deserving. Finally a truly free press. Change the way local news is delivered.

Or you can do video of a complete tournament like we did.
With the DVDs ready before they finish their awards supper.

EXAMPLE: the Osoyoos Rotary Golf tournament (June 2010) these video were shot at hole #2

http://www.youtube.com/my_playlists?p=13A340479871BAC3  (Sunny day) 180 video clips

Osoyoos Senior Ladies Golf tournament (June 2010) video for these TWO tournaments take up just 40% of a DVD

http://www.youtube.com/my_playlists?p=F985F5CA1CAB5CEF  (rainy dark day) 180+ clips

Our custom software can play the short video clips then the last 3 seconds (the swing) in slow motion. With no editing. Add to that the ability to display pictures and LARGE font scrolling text as a continuous screen saver. The random option enables us to show the video random by foursome by hole. Nobody else can do this.

In 1/2 day you can be completely trained. For the rest of your Digital video life.

This software is evolving. The “golf” catalog option is just getting better and better
Sports action video playback gets on the shelf at WalMart
Every action sport could benefit from this MultiMedia player.
And it is coming to WalMart.
All players would love to see their videos so accessible. With random timely playback.

For Golf:
This catalog option sets the complete video clip to play; next it starts 6 Seconds from the end, with the last 3 seconds (the swing) playing in slow motion. Finally the last 3 secs (the swing) plays TWICE at normal speed. Then another random clip is selected. How interesting.
*** note *** hitting enter twice will result in the current video segment playing again; for a second or 3rd look…
This playback could quickly be modified to suit your preferences. Change is easy
We did video of 2 Golf tournaments using 2 camcorders at Hole #2. These 320+ clips of 160 or so golfers take up just 40% of a DVD. Video from more than 1 hole would not be a problem. Sponsors will be clamoring to get their names and videos included with this long lasting gift.
These videos were up and playing before the contestants started their awards supper. Shortly after the DVDs were being burned. How timely
This “no editing” method and it’s immediate video playback is exceptional. No techies anywhere can match this…
