Dear golf player,
This year, the Senior Games will be organized in September 2009 in the Dutch province Zeeland, and an estimated 3,000 athletes 50 years and older from all over Europe are expected to join.
Participants will compete during this Multi-sport Event in no less than 21 major sports. This event is the first of its kind in Europe, a unique opportunity for the Netherlands.
Golf is one of the main sports in the Senior Games 2009 program. Beneath one can find the specific information concerning the golf competition.

The Open Senior Games Golf Championships 2009 shall be open to all golfers who are member of a recognised national Golf Federation; who have Amateur Status. In addition, a minimum handicap of 16.0 or less for men and 18.0 or less for women is required.
In addition, participants will be able to enrol in pool B. The minimum handicaps for pool B are: men between 17,0 – 26,0, women between 19,0 – 28,0.
3 rounds of 18 holes strokeplay with start at hole 1 for all competitors.
Finals: 1 round of 18 holes strokeplay with a shotgun start for the best 36 players of each category. Ranking: The total result of the 4 rounds strokeplay.
