I was looking at an ad for Srixon golf balls. Vijay and three other PGA golfers all state in the ad that they switched from the #1 ball to Srixon, a better ball. I am sure monetary considerations were totally secondary in their decision to switch.
Then I noticed Vijay’s logo shirt. It is Stanford Financial. Same with his logo visor. I did not notice during match play yesterday whether “Stanford” is still prominently displayed by Vijay or if he had the good sense to part ways with the Stanford organization.
Innocent until proven guilty is the standard. However, there are circumstances that warrant some discretion. If Bernard Madoff were one of my sponsors, I would not wait until the guilty plea to stop wearing his hat.
