Spring is coming up and I’m looking forward to trying some new public courses. Does anyone have any recommendations as to their favorites?

My favorite Ann Arbor area courses are UM’s Blue Course (across from the stadium) and Pine View. My favorites in the whole of SE Michigan are the Cascades and The Grande in Jackson (although I haven’t been to the Grande in a couple of years—it may have changed).

I’m thinking about taking a spring trip out to Moose Ridge.

You should try Stonebridge Golf Club in Ann Arbor.  Stonebridge is co-owned by Jim Roland.  Jim was the Superintendent of the University of Michigan Golf course for 12 years before purchasing the Stonebridge course in 2001.  Stonebridge is an 18-hole public course designed in 1991 by Arthur Hills.  The Stonebridge course is a public course with country club conditions.

I’ll put Stonebridge on my list for this spring. My goal this summer is to finish taking photos of, and reviewing, the rest of the publicly available courses in Washtenaw County. You can see the current reviews here:

You can go to Centerview Golf Course. You will enjoy playing over there.
