Powerplay System Q2 Irons
Hireko Golf’s Power Play System Q2 Irons are designed to offer increased forgiveness for mid to high handicappers, while still offering the workability favored by better players. Among the features:
Reduced Offset at Address
Designed to attack the greens from any position on the course, very minimal offset was selected in the wedges and scoring irons for alignment preferred by a majority of avid golfers but the offset is progressively increased where it is needed most in the lower lofted irons for increased accuracy.
Rear Mass Stabilizing Bar
An extremely deep undercut cavity forms a barrier between the face and Rear Mass Stabilizing Bar (RMSB) to optimize the perimeter weighting and increased MOI for superior forgiveness. The added structural stiffness created by the thick RMSB enhances the power and feel at impact.
Wider, Thicker Sole
The wider, thicker contoured sole was not only created to concentrate weight low for a higher trajectory and more solid feel at impact, but designed to improve performance from a variety of different lies one might encounter out on the course.
You can get a full set for as little as $181. Hireko also allows you to customize shafts, grips, club length, loft and lie.
PowerPlay System Q Hybrid
Radical geometry makes its way from the driver to the hybrid. And why not. The same principles apply. By redistributing the weight to the sides and the rear of the clubhead, the square shape offers increased moment of inertia, creating better shots when contact is off center. This club is cast from 17-4 stainless steel and has a special glide rsole to reduce turf drag and fat shots.
Acer Mantara Iron
Hireko Golf’s Mantara irons feature an ultra-high moment of intertia to reduce twising on off center hit. By strategically removing mass and reapplying it to the low and rear corners of the club, Hireko has created massive perimeter weighting. Hireko says that the wide sole and twin rear wings provide hybrid-like accuracy, while still maintaining the preferred look of an iron. A radiused sole is designed to help prevent “fat” shots and make this the most playable club offered by Hireko.
I think it’s very sharp looking.
Acer XP
There’s a lot going on with the Acer XP Step Cavity Irons. They begin with a notched sole area that moves the weight toward the heel and toe, where it is needed most. Moment of intertia is increased with an undercut cavity; the step cavity fine tunes this weighting even further.
Bionik Series 500 Putters
Hireko Golf has released a new line of sharp looking putters with bold red alignment features. They all start at under $30. Better yet: they come with Hireko’s 60 day playability guarantee, so there’s no risk to try.
