Kodak Challenge Fantasy Pick ‘Em

A couple of months ago in this blog, I wrote a piece about The Kodak Challenge, a Kodak sponsored meta-game, in which PGA Tour players compete for the best eighteen scores on thirty “Kodak Challenge” holes from across thirty different tournaments. The player with the best 18 hole score on those holes from across the season wins $1 million.

Nice, but only interesting to about 142 people in the United States—the members of the PGA Tour who actually have a chance to win the million. To quote myself:

It’s an interesting concept. It’s just too bad the fans couldn’t be more involved in the whole thing. As neat an idea as The Kodak Challenge is, I just can’t see the general public caring about the outcome.

A nice idea would have been for Kodak to allow fans to pick a fantasy golf team of players, with the “owner” of the best team winning some prizes. That would keep up interest among the cognoscenti.

So what does Kodak come up with: A fantasy Pick ‘Em. Now—just as The GolfBlogger suggested—fans can pick a team of four players in hopes of winning various prizes, including a season-ending “Disney Golf Dream Vacation.”

I should hire myself out as a consultant on things such as these. Kodak can thank me for my advice by sending one of those nice Kodak EasyShare Z915 cameras so I can take my own golf course photos.

The entire press release follows:

Deal On Adobe Photoshop Elements

I’ve been having a good time with my new Canon Rebel XSi camera lately and have come to appreciate the wonders of digital postprocessing. Adjusting colors, brightness, sharpness and so on can really make an otherwise ordinary photograph pop. While $600 Adobe Photoshop CS4 is the favored tool of graphic artists, I’ve learned that just about everything that a digital photographer needs is in the much cheaper Photoshop Elements.

Amazon has the best deal on Adobe Photoshop Elements 7  I’ve seen. It’s $59.99 after a rebate.

Precision Putting Trainer Review

Precision Putting Trainer Grade: B+ Since putting is fully one half of the game of golf, it makes sense that half of all your practice should be with the flat stick. (For those of you who hadn’t thought about it, consider this: Half of all…

Putt To Death—a review

Putt to Death By Roberta Isleib I’ll get right to the point: I thought this book was a great read. Even better: my non-golfing wife couldn’t put it down. Putt to Death is the third in a series of novels about LPGA tour pro Cassie Burdette.…
