Scotty Cameron California Putter

SCOTTY CAMERON California Putter

I think the lines on this Scotty Cameron California putter are just beautiful.

The putters are milled from soft 303 stainless steel, and is designed to offer a sound and feel that promotes distance control. The draft sole design keeps the putter square in the playing position for proper alignment, and the high toe profile eliminates players tendency to raise a putter’s toe address, causing a left-of-target aim.

Heavy Putter H1

Heavy Putter Black H1

Heavy Putter Black H1

I’ve had one of the original Heavy Putters in my bag—a center shaft, mallet model—and it’s been the best putter I’ve ever tried. The heavy shaft and head practically force a pendulum motion and keep the hands and wrist out of the stroke.

I’m thinking seriously about this mid-weight model, though. On speedy greens, the heavy model I have tends to shoot the ball too far. A lighter model that still prevents a wristy movement might be the thing.

Best of all, its just $120 right now at GolfSmith.

NEVER COMPROMISE GM2 Exchange Putter

NEVER COMPROMISE GM2 Exchange Putter

GolfSmith is offering the Never Compromise GM2 Exchange Putter for $59.99—$170 off list. The putter features a system of interchangeable weights which allow adjustment to compensate for conditions, surfaces and a player’s stroke. This is a terrific buy, and I’ll be stopping in at my local GolfSmith to get one of these.

Big Nickel Putter

Big Nickel Putter

The Big Nickel is a weight adjustable putter that lets you set the thing from 250 to more than 500 grams. The toe heel weight also is adjustable. With this, you can compensate if you know ahead of time what the speed of the greens is likely to be.

Personally, I’m a fan of heavyweight putters. I currently own two heavy putters that I bought from Ebay.

Daito Stealth Putter

Daito Stealth 350g Putter

Daito Stealth 350g Putter

There seems to be no end to the number of putters and putter companies out there. The Daito is one I’ve never heard of before. But they certainly make an interesting product.

The design of the putter is supposed to offer increased back end weighting, reduce backspin, as well as twisting on impact. It’s constructed of lightweight aluminum aircraft allow, with a copper-nickel face insert for better feel and feedback.

Scotty Cameron Squareback Putter

SCOTTY CAMERON Squareback Putter

A variation of Cameron’s Newport putter series, the square back isn’t quite a mallet, but isn’t a blade either. Circular weight screws in heel and toe raise the moment of inertia (resistance to twisting), and the toe is higher than the heel to reduce the tendency to push balls left.

There must be a secret contest among putter manufacturers as to who can produce the strangest looking putter ...

This one’s got a modified half-hex mallet head with an alignment stripe, weighted wings, a double-bend shaft and full-shaft offset.
