GigaGolf Center Cut Classic Putter
Some club designs have become classic because they work. This is one of them.
Precision milled in 301 steel, you can have this one for under $30.
GigaGolf Center Cut Ion Putter
The Center Cut mod. 15 ion is designed for players looking for a heavier putter that encourages a pendulum stroke. GigaGolf says that the ion version includes a milled alloy insert encased in a vibration dampening polymer that minimizes the ball tendency to hop on impact, and delivers exception feel.
The extended mallet design has a “saturn stabilizaiton bar” (rings of Saturn—get it?) to increase the moment of inertia and thus reduce twisting. The three ball alignment system is one favored by many players today.
The GolfBlogger is very much in favor of heavier putters. My two favorites these days are much heavier than normal and I am convinced that they take any wristiness out and promote a smoother stroke.
Wilson Augusta Putter
The classic returns. I’ve got a golfing buddy who still putts with an original of this design. He won’t give it up for anything. He won’t even change the worn, slick leather grip.
Hireko CB2 Putter
You can’t have too many putters. Or at least that’s what my friend Dave claims. Here’s one he doesn’t have in his collection (yet).
Hireko golf says that its new Acer CB2 putter is “the most advanced putter made for the component market.” It features a two piece consturciton with a lightweight milled aluminum face and center section and a stainless steel outer ring.
The outer ring accounts for more than half the weight of the putter, which allows Hireko to achieve the holy grail of golf club design—a high moment of intertia.
It’s also center shafted, which is my preferred style. I also like the fact that you can get it either assembled, or as a component.
Hireko’s got a 60 Day Satisfaction guarantee.
