Golf doesn't come naturally to most people. There's an awful lot about the game that is simply counterintuitive -- like hitting down to get the ball up. The best way to deal with this is to get golf lessons from a PGA professional. But barring that, there is a great deal of useful information available for you to read that will help your game.

May Is Free Lesson Month

During May, you can get a free 10-minute golf lesson from a PGA pro in your area. Ten minutes isn’t enough to fix anything major, but when I’ve taken advantage of it over the last couple of years, the pro was able to help me straighten out my grip and stance.

I have to say that I'm more than a little happy to see Tiger Woods finally knocked from his perch. He's been riding on his performance of three years ago for way too long. That fact that it's taken so long is evidence that the ranking system needs to be reformed.
