Golf is the gadget lover's sport. There are more golf gizmos than anyone can count: tees, and markers, stroke counters, range finders, ball retrievers, GPS systems, hat clips, sports seats, divot tools, groove cleaners, weight tape. You can't even begin to count them all.
Misty Mate Cool Mist Blaster
We’re having a heat wave here again in Michigan. It got up to 95 yesterday, and it’s supposed to be even hotter today. I’m heading ot the course at 7 am to beat the heat.
A cool thing I found to beat the heat is this Misty Mate Cool Mist Blaster. You fill it up with water, pump it up, and it sprays a cool mist. Th company says the thing can reduce the temperature by thirty degres.
Accusplit Activity Pedometer
If you don’t have a physical handicap, you should walk when you play golf. The health benefits are enormous, and your game will improve, too. I guarantee it. I’ve often worn a pedometer when playing to keep track of just how far I go. (hint: its a lot longer than the actual length of the course, since I have a tedency to wander from one side of the fairway to the other.) To keep track of your miles, you could try the Accusplit Activity Pedometer. The manufacturer says it is the most accurate tested in the last ten years. And it has a lanyard in addition to the belt clip, which is a really good thing, since my last pedometer fell off when I wasn’t paying attention. I hope that whoever found it is using it.
The pedometer also includes a “From Tee To Green” wellness program guide.
Magnetic Cap Clip
I’ll confess to being one of those guys who has to rummage through his pockets when he gets to the green trying to find a ball marker. The Magnetic Cap Clups might solve my problem. They clip on the brim of your hat. Just reach up to your brim and pull it off. Then put it back when you’re done. You’ll always know where your ball marker is.
Naah. That’s too easy.
Putterbabies Putter Cover
Putterbabies is a putter cover with a twist. Instead of taking it on and off your putter, the cover stays attached to your golf bag:
The putter head rests upon the back of a doll in a locked position, the putter shaft is within a tube and the butt end is suspended off the bag floor. The putter may be retained inside or outside the bag for either left or right handed players. The putter holder is user friendly and does not have to be removed or replaced during play as in the common animal putter head or iron covers. Fits Adult and Junior golf bags.
RadarGolf Tracks Lost Golf Balls.
A California software guru has invented a device which tracks golf balls via an imbedded chip. The idea is to help hackers find those $5 balls that they slice off into oblivion.
