Golf is the gadget lover's sport. There are more golf gizmos than anyone can count: tees, and markers, stroke counters, range finders, ball retrievers, GPS systems, hat clips, sports seats, divot tools, groove cleaners, weight tape. You can't even begin to count them all.

Protect from Sky Marks

So you bought a nice, new, $600 Taylor Made driver. And on your first tee shot, you popped the ball, leaving a nasty scratch that proclaims to all the world that you are a bad golfer. No more. With the Pop Up Protector, you can coat your precious with a thin, flexible, glossy, transparent, thermoplastic elastomer that the manufacturer claims is scratchproof. Better yet: you can remove it when you actually get enough game not to pop the ball in the first place.

Hip Kaddy

The Hip Kaddy is an all-in-one organizer that straps on your belt or bag and carries balls, tees, pencil and divot tool. There's even a velcro strap to attach your glove. Its pretty nerdy though. Kind of like a plastic pocket protector for golfers.

Mr Caddy

Mr. Caddy is a multipurpose golf tool that: 1) picks up your balls 2) holds your umbrella 3) keeps your putter handy in the bag. I think you also could use it to beat off a killer Canada Goose. One of those went after me today.

Q-Link

Ok, I've seen the Q Link on a couple of the guys on the Senior Tour. It's supposed to increase your mental acuity and reduce stress by absorbing EMF waves in your environment. Here's what they say about it:
In biological terms, the QLink restores our harmonies by helping to regulate the 'homeostasis' of the body. 'Homeostasis' is the condition of equilibrium, the 'dynamic range or balance' where the body's multiple systems operate together and resonate at their optimum.

Isaac Scoring System

Individual Statistics and Analysis Center (Isaac) is a new system for keeping score on a golf course. Golfers fill in a bubble card -- like on a standardized test -- with information such as greens in regulation and putts and then turn it in at the end of the round. A scanner in the clubhouse reads the card and returns a wealth of statistics about your game. The company claims that it will help improve your game by helping you with goal setting.

Pedometer / Score Keeper

I bought one of these pedometer/score keepers from Sharper Image. The plastic belt clip broke off in the first week. Dont' bother.
