Nothing seems to inspire golfers as much as the quest for newer, better equipment. There's always a new set of irons, a new driver, or putter, fairway wood or hybrid to try and buy. We all seem to believe that if we just get the right club, our games will improve.
Twilight Tracer Ball
I have a friend whose 2nd grade boy desperately wants one of these. And I can see why. The Twilight Tracer Ball is designed so that when you hit it, it lights up, and flashes for five minutes after impact. Like an anti-aircraft tracer bullet, you can follow the flashing path of the ball through the air, and then see it on the ground. Its perfect for an evening round, when its still light enough to play, but too dark to find your ball.
Come to think of it, I think I want a set, too. One of the great joys of golf is seeing the ball arc through the air. It would be even cooler if they flashed.

Curv Convex Putter
The Curv Convex putter a new approach to putting—and one that makes sense to me. Instead of a flat face, the Curv Convex’s face is ... well ... convex. This means that on off-center hits, the ball still will travel on the intended line. According to the manufacturer, a flat face Putter with 3 degrees of error will miss the center of the cup by 2” at ONLY 3 FEET. (3 degrees = thickness of a human hair); 3 degrees using the CURV will remain on center 20+ feet.

Autolinx Hard Case
The Autolinx is an airline-compliant hard case for your clubs that also attaches to the back of your car like a bike rack. Of course, every serious golfer I know has an SUV or a minivan—the better to cart your foursome around in. Still, if you’re having a midlife crisis and are driving around in a convertable, this is the thing for you.

Aserta Putter
The Aserta Putter basically turns putters upside down. By raising the mass, the inventors claim that they can create topspin, which would get the ball rolling toward its target more quickly and easily.
