Yes! has released the first forged putter with their patented c-grooves. It’s a traditionally styled cavity back putter, and is forged from a single piece of manganese-bronze that’s been oxidized for a non-glare finish.

The grooves are designed to get the ball rolling faster. Few golfers realize it, but the ball actually hops for a bit after being struck with a putter. The theory is that it’s the uncontrolled hop that causes putts to go off line. Therefore, manufacturers have been working on ways to get the ball hopping less and rolling sooner.

Yes!’ solution is the C-groove, and I can personally attest that it seems to work. I tried one during a round this summer and was struck by how accurately I putted.
