Woods Might Need Sponsor’s Exemption To Own Event
Tiger apparently is in danger of falling out of the top 50 position needed to qualify for the Chevron Challenge. If he does so, he’ll need a sponsor’s exemption to play in his own Chevron World Challenge.
Two years ago, who could have imagined this?

That’s crazy I knew he was dropping in the rankings but I had no idea he was getting that close. And no I could have never imagined that 2 years ago… not qualifying for the Chevron would have been a joke.

It is amazing who is actually below him in the rankings (although not for long) - Brandt Snedeker, YE Yang, Ryo Ishikawa, Bill Haas, and Sergio are 39, 40, 43, 44, and 45.
Brandt and Yang should both pop ahead of him, even if they don’t break the top 70 and move to week 3.
