This reminds me of my Christmas present from my inlaws last year. Usually we draw names and provide a list of 3 items which we wouldn’t mind getting, for under $25 or so. So my list looks like this: - Box of Callaway HX Hot golf balls; iTunes gift card; Box of Titleist DT So/Lo or NXT golf balls
I have to specify because none of them are golfers. Well, last year we did not distribute the wish lists, and so things were wide open. My Bro-in-law drew my name and got me a great gift - he remembered that I had asked for golf balls the year before, and knows I play all the time, and so he sent away; probably from a lillian vernon catalog or something for personalized golf balls. It was six golf balls, and from whereever he ordered them from, it was probably more money than the Callaway or Titleist balls.
The problem being is that it had my first and last name- and I would rather not leave evidence. That would probably be my first through a window or windshield ball if I teed off with it. Second, there was no brand on it, and it had a visible seam. Now my driver speed is probably only around 95 mph, but I really wondered if this ball would even hold together if I smacked it good. Then I wonder since there were six, if every one of these was really a trick ball. Anyhow, they are with the rest of my logo’d souvenier balls, I probably do need to take one out and play a hole. I am headed to the RTJ Alabama trail in a month, so maybe I will try one there. From what I heard I need to pull out all my shag balls and everything else in inventory for my 3 days and 6 rounds there.

I know why they’re colored as they are, but does any guy really need a set of blue balls ...

So, the new mama spends 30 hours in labor and the new daddy is thinking about golf….. he’d better hold on to his blue balls because new mama will be giving his clubs to the salvation army the first chance she gets.
