Visiting the Novi GolfSmith Store

I got a chance yesterday to go to visit the new Golfsmith store in Novi, Michigan. It’s an amazingly large facility, with more than 27,000 square feet of golf. In addition to the retail side, the store also has four indoor hitting bays, three fitting studios and the biggest indoor putting green I’ve ever seen.

There also seems to be some private indoor hitting areas for lessons through Golf-Tec.

A nice touch is the amount of floor space dedicated to women golfers. Other than clothing, women’s golf gear usually is relegated to a back corner of a golf retailer’s store. No so here. The women’s areas are not as big, but are certainly prominently located.

The new store is two-and-a-half times the size of the previous store in Northville.
