Vijay Singh’s Speed Stik

May 12, 2005

Speed Stik

I finally saw one of these Speed Stik devices in person. It’s a long metal tube, about an inch in diameter, with a “speed gauge” on one end.

The idea is that swinging this stick improves your strength and flexibility. The speedometer on the end offers feedback on your improvement.

I did swing it once or twice, but thought it was too awkward for me to get the sensation of really swinging a club. I also have to say that strength and flexibity are nto really issues that concern me.

So I gave it a pass.
