Two Sided Club Brush

Z TECH Two Sided Brush

Z TECH Two Sided Brush

What we have here is the classic golf club brush, with wire bristles on one side, and plastic on the other. While it works well enough for the cleaning of brushes, I’ve found a serious flaw in the design: I continually get poked by the wire bristles. And not just a little—those wires can produce a very deep wound.

So I propose that what the world needs is a better brush design—one with retractable bristles. Further, it would have a hollow handle for storing water. And finally, it’d have a sharp pointy thing for scraping out grooves. I can’t be the first one to think of such a thing, but I’ve never seen it in the wild.

  • You do make a good point about someone needing to come up with a good club brush.  Maybe if enought people start asking for something new, them maybe they will make something that will have a real use to use out on the greens.

  • I have seen the one with retractible wire bristles, I think at Golfsmith—but it could have been a discount golf shop.  I will look again, and see if I can find a brand and other product info.

I have the exact same style brush as you show above.  I have never gotten a deep wound, but fairly painful pricks which I think were just shy of drawing blood.

  • Frogger makes an excellent brush. The wire brush has the softer synthetic black brushes surrounding them. Thus, on the inside is the wire brush, on the outside is the softer brush. No more “wire” wounds.

There is a replacement brush that is 100% synthetic for drivers and fairway metals. The brush has a retractable cord meaning it can stay on your bag and is easy to use. There is also a retractable pointy “groove” cleaner.

This is the premium or deluxe club brush in my opinion.
