Travel Books For Golf

June 23, 2005

If you’re travelling this summer, you might want to get one of these books which list top golf courses across the US. At the very least, you should visit your local library before setting out. After all, a vacation without golf is no vacation at all.

  • Can anyone help me? I am trying to remember the name and author of a golf/travel/autobiographical book I read maybe 8 or 10 years ago, by a newspaperman (I think for the Boston Globe?) who took off a year or two and became a caddy for some of the major European tour. The second half of his book he travels to Scotland to golf and explore the history of golf. It was a slim volume, very beautifully written; no photos. Can anyone help me on this?
