Titleist 755 Irons
TITLEIST 755 Iron Set with Steel Shafts
With its new 755 Irons, Titleist offers a set of forged clubs with many game improvement features.
Among the features:
A thin face design that allows more weight to be distributed to the perimeter, especially the heel and toe for greater moment of intertia (resistance to twisting, helping with off-center hits.
A vibration dampening chip that improves sound and feel, while at the same time reinforcing the afrorementioned thin face.
A sole design with a rolled leading edge and progressive bounce angles. This is supposed to prevent digging in soft conditions, while reducing skipping in firmer conditions.
Variable hosel length, with short hosels in the 2-7 irons for higher launch, and longer ones in the 8-P for greater control.
Each club is designed with an optimized center of gravity for easier initial launch. Titleist says, however, that this still offers a controllable ball flight.
Still, because this is Titleist, with a reputation for producign players’ clubs, there’ still a lot of tradition here. The heads are forged from 410 stainless steel with a non-glare satin finish. And they are designed with a progressive topline, offset sole width and blade length for seamless design.
