Tilghman Apologizes For “Lynch Tiger Woods” Comment

I have to admit that I missed this one completely. Golf Channel Anchor Kelly Tilghman said on Friday that young pro golfers trying to catch up to Tiger Woods should “lynch him in a back alley.” Not a good choice of words, given the historical implications.
She’s since apologized, and Tiger’s agent says that no offense was taken.

Rev. Al Sharpton is a good reason not to become a Christian, if his leader is forgiveness and love personified it shows what a headline hungry buffoon Sharton is. It is people like him that will never allow blacks and whites to be equal because his (fame) is derived from highlighting issues that would pass without much press. I only hope he cancels one of his screaming TV appearances to read the sermon on the mount. He should be afraid to face his maker when he relizes that Jesus says: Matt:7:1. Judge not, that you may not be judged. 2. For with what judgment you judge you shall be judged, and with what measure you measure, it shall be measured to you again. 3. And why seest thou the straw, which is in thy brother’s eye, and perceivest not the beam which is in thine eye? He does the opposite of what the Lord ask: Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. I hope that the Christian Communtity recognizes the fake this man is.

She should be fired. But, not because of this, but because she is a poor announcer…who struggles for superlatives when she praises Tiger, time after time after time after…
Just get rid of her.
She stumbled looking for words of praise and extreme in her talk about Tiger, and she got tongue tied. She is a poor announcer, a screechy voice and she tries to be a man in the booth.

Kelly and Rich Lerner, both, get on my nerves with all of their constant suck-upiness to Tiger Woods. And that Todd Lewis has only been on there for a few days and I’m thinking his face is permanently frozen with that big smile on it. And I think Kelly thinks quite highly of herself and that comes out in her announcing voice.
But I have to say, if the Golf channel and Tilghman want me to believe the comment was inadvertant, well, it was only inadvertant that she said it about Tiger - the man with money and power in golf. If you’re capable of thinking something like that and saying it, then you have some issues and there’s no way that it was just an accident. Something like that would never occur to me. Hurtful comments about someone’s weight - yes - those would come to mind, because I’ve been fat and have said the same things to myself, but not a racial comment.
