The Donald Wants The US Open

Here’s a terrifying thought. Donald Trump wants his Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey to host a US Open.
I can’t imagine that the USGA will let that happen, regardless of the kind of money he throws around. Letting The Donald host would immediately turn one of golf’s greatest events into a mechanism to stroke his enormous ego. He would be on tv more than the players and, no doubt, would come up with a way to embarass the USGA and plug his latest project.

Well, the Donald is the king of self promotion, so I can only imagine his motivation is just that. If I was the USGA, I might consider it but would give him a test run by having a non major event at Trump National.

What a nightmare. They never should have let him on that Big Break show. Although the fight that would undoubtedly ensue between him and Tiger Woods (Donald fights with anyone and everyone) might be worth watching. I’m no Tiger fan, but I would have to say he’d probably win that one.
