TaylorMade Tour Burner Driver $250 Off

Golfsmith is offering the Tour Burner Driver for just $149—$250 off list. This is one that I seriously considered buying when it was new. I really liked the way I hit it the couple of times I visited a TaylorMade Demo Day.

I really wish that irons would drop in price like the drivers would. My Callaway X-20s are getting a little long in the tooth, and it would be great if I could pick up the X-22s with graphite shafts for $300 when the X-24s come out. Unfortunately nothing drops like the drivers do.
This is the way that I play adjustable clubs. I wait until they hit the closeout bins at $150 - you usually only have to wait 12-18 months - and then you get a new driver. I have a Callaway FT-i, a Taylormade Burner, and a Callaway X-460, and I have barely spent what a buddy of mine spent on a new FT-iq.

I bought this Driver from Dicks last June. I had success with it, but I eventually took an inch off the shaft, making it 44.5-in. Then it became awesome! I love the way I hit it. I get good distance, but much better accuracy. While I sometimes experiment with other Drivers, I always wind up coming back to TaylorMade. I also have the matching Tour Burner 3 Wood in my bag.
