I first heard the name Willie Mack when he won the 2011 Michigan Amateur. The Flint, Michigan golfer was the first African American to win the 100-year-old Championship. Since then, Mack has gone on to success on the mini tours, winning thirteen tournaments.
His friend, Christian Heavens, made an appearance on The Big Break, and has won three times as a professional.
Together, the two have launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise $25,000 to continue their quests to make the PGA TOUR. Check out their fundraising campaign, and if you’ve got a couple of extra dollars, I’m sure they would appreciate it.
