I go way back as a backpacker, and I can clearly remember the level of excitement among the Scouts in my troop when the first packs with hip belts came out. I got a belt designed to retrofit my existing pack and we all wondered how we’d ever gotten along without them.
So when I saw this golf bag with a hip belt, it was a head-slap moment. Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before?
As with a backpack, the padded, velco-enclosure hip belt transfers the weight from the shoulders to the hips. That saves the shoulders from a lot of stress—and should keep improve your game late in the round.
