Sumi G Driver Headcover

Sumi G Driver Headcover

Sumi G Driver Headcover

The Sumi-G Driver headcover is a most unusual design. More than just a fancy sock, it’s designed with an exo-skeleton that helps protect both head and shaft. The mechanical closure permits one-handed operation, and you apparently can even put the cover back on without picking it up off the ground (do you throw your headcovers on the ground? I do not.).

  • Similar in design to the cover on my Adams Insight XTD a3-OS Hybrid/Fairway Wood.  I like the design on that cover, but it is specifically fitted for that club.

The only cover I put on the ground is for my driver.  It is also usually the only cover I put back on after every use.  I will usually have it halfway between the cart (either walking or riding cart) and the tee box.  I toss it there so I will have to pick it up and put it back on the club.  Otherwise if I put it in the basked (riding) or lay it on the handle (walking cart)- I will often put the club back in the bag without putting the cover on.  (and if I am walking, that means I will drop the cover somewhere).

  • Hmmm, an “Adams Insight XTD a3-OS Hybrid/Fairway Wood”, that is a mouthful.  To borrow from an old Cheech & Chong routine, we won’t be able to fit that on the clubhead.
