Round of the Year - Shot of the Year
I’m a Phil Mickelson fan, so there’s a built-in bias here, but I think the round of the year and shot of the year both belong to Phil Mickelson in the final round of the 2010 Masters. Phil was a shot behind a very strong Lee Westwood, but held it together for a final round 67 and a victory. That 67 included the now legendary shot out of the trees on the par 5 thirteenth.
Here’s a very nice highlight reel, which also features one of my favorite movie soundtracks from one of my favorite movies, The Last of the Mohicans

I stood behind that spot during the Tuesday practice rounds and looked through there. Little did I know what historic play would originate from there five days later.
How cool.

Okay, I definitely agree with the SOTY, but neither of the 59’s make the cut as ROTY? (yes, yes, neither won the Masters in a come-from-behind, but still…)

The 59s were excellent but not exactly shot in primo tournaments. I still like a come-from-behind in a pressure filled Major.
