Regripping Large Ended Clubs

Grip Installer Tool

I just got an email question about the difficulty of regripping large ended clubs, such as the Taylor-made bubble shafts.

I once did a set for my brother and found that it was possible—but difficult—if you use a lot of grip tape and sovlent.

A better solution is to use the Golfsmith Grip Installer Tool. You just slide the grip on the one end, and slide the whole thing down on the shaft.

Viola!

A new special design from Golfsmith makes grip installation on the popular big butt graphite shafts a breeze. - Recommended for grip installation on oversize butt shafts including the .865 butts, .700 butts, and the Taylor Made Bubble shafts (.809 ) - Also works great on conventional shafts and grips. Simply slide a lubricated slip-on grip over the nozzle and slip the whole assembly over the shaft butt; the tool then slides down the shaft and off.
