I saw a clip of Vijay Singh using this device on the practice green. It’s designed to help you learn to keep your putter clubface on the intended target line.

(Chuckle) Perhaps…
I go straight down the line with my putting stroke, but the arc path has become in vogue on tour. Stan Utley is a huge proponent of that method in the short game. They say it is more natural. I think they’ve chunked out some training aids for that one as well.
