Price Fully Exempt in 2011 On PGA Tour

December 30, 2010

Here’s an interesting turn. Nick Price has used a one-time exemption for being in the top 50 in lifetime earnings to gain fully exempt status on the PGA Tour in 2011.

Price, who’s 54, also will play on the Champions Tour. His thought apparently is to use PGA Tour stops to fill in holes on his Champions Tour schedule.

It’d be a lot of fun to see him do well on the regular Tour.

In his career, Price had 48 professional wins (18 on the PGA Tour) and at one time was the top ranked player in the world. He has three majors: the 1994 Open Championship, and the 1992 and 1994 PGA Championships.
