Playing In A “Snow Storm” In May

May 27, 2010

Cottonwood Drifts (1 of 1)

I played in a “snow storm” yesterday in ninety degree heat.

The air was a blizzard of the fluffy seeds of the cottonwood trees, and the ground in patches so white it was hard to see the ball. At several points when the wind blew it felt as though I was in a snowy white-out. Only without the knifing cold.

I tried to catch a photo of the wisps blowing through the air, but failed utterly. The photo above will have to do.
