Phil’s Shot At Thirteen

April 12, 2010

Phil Mickelson’s gutsy game winner on thirteen at the 2010 Masters is one of the most talked about shots in ages. It looks insane, but I heard Detroit Area golf writer Vartan Kupelian say that the opening was five to six feet, and that the camera angle makes it seem worse than it was. Vartan thought it was the correct decision.

Video after the jump.

  • Phil himself said during the press conference that it was 4-5 feet.
