PGA Tour Reaches $1 Billion In Charitable Giving

November 1, 2005

Beginning with a $10,000 check in 1938, the PGA Tour has made an institution of charitable giving. All this season, the Tour has made their “Drive to $1 Billion” a cornerstone of their advertising.

Now, they’ve reached that mark. PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem announced that the mark was reached after this last weekend’s tournaments.

Finchem also said that their next goal was to double that amount in the next ten years.
