Odds To Win The Sony Open 2013

January 9, 2013

Coming off a big win at the wind-shortened Hyundai Tournament of Champions, Dustin Johnson is the clear bettors favorite at the Sony Open. He’s in at 9/1, well ahead of Keegan Bradley, Matt Kuchar and Webb Simpson, who all are at 16/1. Carl Petterson and Zach Johnson are in at 20/1, rounding out the top five (and ties).

The Sony Open has a reputation as a tight course, perhaps favoring the accurate over the long. If that’s the case, then perhaps the winner will comes from the ranks of Jerry Kelly (1st last year in driving accuracy) John Huh (11th) or Zach Johnson (14th). Kelly is in at 80/1, while oddsmakers have Huh at 50/1.

The complete odds are below, courtesy of Bovada.lv:

  • I’d like to see Zach Johnson win it.

  • I see no reason why Dustin Johnson can’t back up and win again this week.

I like the value and odds of Brendon De Jonge who had a really consistent 2012 and went close a number of times. 2013 could be a big year for Brendon.
