Maybe I am missing something. Do I need the shirt with UV protection, really? I am pretty fair skinned, and I don’t recall ever getting a sunburn on skin which was covered by a normal everyday garmet, be it cotton, dri-fit, or other tech shirt.
Now if the shirt gives some magical protection for the uncovered skin—that would be useful. I have a giant red “V” below my chin and a bright red neck, and sunburned calves right now because I was horribly stupid on Saturday.
On another related note- the best stuff ever is the spray on Sport SPF30 from Coppertone. I hope my use of it is not going to cost the world New Zealand.

All the technical fabric information is great.
But how about whether these shirts are ethically made? Are the manufacturing factories certified by any Fair Trade Organisations? How about our environment in terms of low carbon emmissions and use of harmful pesticides?
Shouldn’t we start asking these questions from all apparel brands?
