Writing in The Guardian, Marino Parascenzo has a well-written commentary on Tiger’s recent resurgence:

That rushing sound sweeping through the treetops, down the valleys and across the plains was not some ghostly wind issuing from Greek mythology. It was the collective sigh of relief across the world of golf, and maybe elsewhere, at the return of Tiger Woods. He was back. The scores said so.

I think that the people most excited about Tiger’s return have to be those in the golf media. It gives them something to write about again.
