MOMENTUS Power Hitter 310

MOMENTUS Power Hitter 310

The Momentus Power Hitter 310 is a weighted practice driver that combines the trademark Momentus weighted shaft with a proportionally weighted head. This makes it possible to use the club while practicing on the driving range. The weight is bound to strengthen the muscles that you use in driving.

I have a regular Momentus iron and find that the weighted shaft does wonders for helping me find my swing again when I’m hitting the ball poorly. The weight forces me to move the club down on plane and makes it practically impossible to go over the top. The weight also forces a correct follow through and (temporarily) gets me off that dreaded “chicken wing” that has been plaguing my game for so long.

If the driver doesn’t do the trick for you, I recommend a regular Momentus iron:

  • Right on dude,

Finally - someone who isn’t “golf snobbing” all over training aids!

I’ll add another benefit of the Momentus that is even more important than added strength and good positioning.

The Momentus greatly increases flexibility. Light weight brought through the swing plane will increase our swing arc over time. This is awesome for any golfer - especially those that want to play until they’re 100 years old or so.

  • Have you noticed an improvement in distance?

  • Maybe on the distance ... although it is hard for me to tell, since I also changed irons, balls and switched to the one plane swing this year. My 150 club is now an 8 iron—last year it was a six.

That said, use of the Momentus has to at least be a factor. But I got it more to groove the swing plane.

  • Just started working with this aid.  I enjoy it the most at home on days I can’t hit balls or play.  I basically do three different swings with it.  The first is a non-stop 10-15 swings back and forth where the weight and momentum really helps with flexibility.  On the back swing, it really increases shoulder turn with a great sense of pulling the left shoulder back.  Second type are normal swings, starting at the ball after each swing.  Here is where I feel it in the wrists, forearms and shoulder areas.  The last type of swing I make with it are normal full swings, only in slow motion.  I’m going to wear this club out!!

  • Hey guys,

Thank you for your reviews.  I am going to be ordering the 310 tonight and appreciate the feedback.  There are so many gimmicks out there that I wanted to see how others feel about the product.  One question, my driver is not 460cc.  To be honest, It’s probably one size lower.  I’m a fairly new golfer and it doesnt say on the club.  Do you think the 310 will still help me even though it has a bigger head than the driver I currently use?  I’m sure it wont make a difference since its the swing plane and speed Im most concerned about.  Thanks again

  • Well I bought the Power Hitter 310 and the infomercial is right on.  This club is amazing.  I used it at the range for about 20 swings, pulled my driver out and wow!!!  My balls went straight and farther.  I went on the course the next day and I hit a few straight as an arrow, but most were a slight fade.  I normally slice the ball, so I didn’t mind having the fade.  It’s like having a personal trainer in your bag.  If you’re contimplating it, buy it.  It’s well worth the money.  Hopefully you can make that money back gambling with your buddies on the course now that you can hit it far and straight.  Plus I had my best round and lost only 1 golf ball.  It’s nice looking for my ball on my own fairway and not the one we just finished playing.
