Mizuno Twister III Stand Bag
I’ve been playing musical golf bags this spring. Most days, I keep my clubs in a lightweight stand bag for a quick nine after work. On Thursdays, however, I have to transfer them to a full size cart bag so I am ready for my golf league on Friday. My stand bag just won’t stay put on the back of a power cart (mandatory for the league). Then, on weekends, I switch to a mid size bag that fits best in my Sun Mountain cart.
What I need is a golf bag that does more than one trick. The Mizuno Twister III just might do the trick. Mizuno says it works well in carts, but has detachable pockets to lighten the load for carrying.

I hope I can check this outsomewhere, or you get it and put lots of pictures up. I am looking for something more functional than either of my two bags also. I have an ultra-lite Callaway (3.5#) from about 3-4 years ago before they went to the XTT footing with the flanged feet (so it does sink down a bit on moist days, if I was anywhere where the clay content wasn’t so high it would be a real problem), and also to a more padded strap system. It actually isn’t a bad bag, but the place where it contacts your back is almost flat and does not have more than the minimal padding- and that spot gets HOT. The bag is also COMPLETELY incompatible with push carts, but does work ok with driving carts.
Bag 2 is a Callaway cart bag from about 3 years ago as well. This bag has good storage, and for some reason it got closed out at $59 for a Callaway. Then I found out why—the stupid bag is too short to fit properly on most push carts - the bag is either just below or halfway on the second support. On my old push cart, I actually put 1” of wood on the bottom support just to prop the bag up so it would reach the second support. Then the divider system blows - it has 8 fully divided slots, but the top slot, which makes the most sense for driver & 3 wood, for some reason gets crammed and I can’t get more than a club in there even though it is 4 inches wide at the top.
I long for my old bag, a cheapie Great Divider, which had every seam giving way after a couple years, but the divider system was great, and it was pretty light for a cart bag.
I might be interested in this Mizuno, and I am really wanting to see the Callaway FT carry bag, which has a vented back pad, and very nice padded straps, and supposedly it is supposed to work well in all 3 applications (carry, drive, and push)—but Golfsmith doesn’t have it, and I really don’t want to drive around town looking for one.
