Mizuno MP-58 Irons
MIZUNO MP 58 3-PW Iron Set with Steel Shafts
A 2010 Golf Digest Hot List winner for innovation, the Mizuno MP-58 irons feature Dual Muscle Titanium Technology— a titanium slab forged into the outer muscle of the iron. Mizuno says that this increases the feel, workability - as well as playability over more traditional forged irons. The incorporation of lightweight titanium is really just another way of allowing the company to strategically locate weight in the clubhead, increasing Moment of Intertia and shaping ball flight. It’s an effect tha other companies achieve with cavities, plastics, micro-cavities, plasma welded titanium faces and the like.
Mizuno’s distinction, however, is in the forgings. I have a set of forged Mizunos, and I have to agree that there’s really nothing like their feel.

recently picked up a set of MP-57’s. With my handicap I really should have looked at the MX line, but the -57’s were so purty, with a big markdown too. I hope to grow into them.
