Mental Mondays: Accentuate The Positive
After assessing the situation and picking your shot, focus entirely on the positive aspects of the situation. Imagine how the shot will launch, the shape of the flight and its landing. Clear from your mind any thoughts of the out of bounds stakes, the fairway trap or the water hazard. Letting them come into play in your mind will make them more likely to come into play in your swing.
Try to think where you want to put the ball, not where you don’t want it to go. - Billy Casper
You’ve got to accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
Latch on to the affirmative
Don’t mess with Mister In-Between
You’ve got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom down to the minimum
Have faith or pandemonium
Liable to walk upon the scene
- Bing Crosby
