Maxfli Noodle 2007
Maxfli has upgraded its popular Noodle golfball for 2007.
I’m not sure what’s different though, as the Maxfli site still is showing the 2006 products. Its apparently still a two piece ball with a Surlyn cover. I am sure, however, that it’s longer and softer with more spin.
Or something like that.
Still, if you play the Noodle, this is what’ll be on the shelves this year.

I will say this for Maxfli, they deserve some sort of award for the largest array of products in their brand. Does anyone else beat their # of products & versions? With 3 Noodles, 2 Powermax, 3-4 Max Distance, Fire, Ice (at least 3 products in Ice), Black, Red, Revolution, ....
Maybe TopFlite did when they had XL, Infinity, XL2000 and XL3000 and 3 or more versions of each all available about 3 years ago.

I’m not sure its a good strategy. I like Bridgestone’s approach better. Four balls. Two pro level and two amateur level. Less confusion.

Well, I do think it confuses things a bit, and when Maxfli seems to focus so much on the low end, what does that do to the high end?
I like the Fire, but I am fully back on board with the HX Hot again.
4 models is a little slim (although I all I need from Bridgestone is the e5 anyway). but Callaway might have the better approach, 2 top ends, 2 middle (Pearl and Hot), and then the Warbird and 2 Big Bertha’s (I tend to think that is one Big Bertha too many though). Then sell the Top Flites as the mass sellers. What I don’t understand is why Callaway fractioned it with the new round dimple versions of the Hot, Big Bertha Blue and Big Bertha Red to sell in the Walmarts and Targets—if the price is the same as the Hex models, why sell another version?
