Kuchar On The Comeback Trail

May 24, 2006

Remember Matt Kuchar? He was the smiling 1997 Amateur Champion who held his own at the Masters and the US Open in 1998. He won the Honda Classic in 2002, but otherwise has had a dismal Tour career, missing the cut more often than not.

But last weekend Kuchar won a Nationwide Tour event, leaving him to believe that he’s on the comeback trail. He’s currently eighth on the Nationwide money list, and a top 20 finish by the end of the year will get him back to the Big Show.

An article in the San Jose Mercury News finds Matt somewhere outside of Birmingham, Alabama.
