Jim Thorpe Faces 2 Years In Prison

September 23, 2009

Champions Tour fixture Jim Thorpe has pleaded guilty to tax evasion and now faces $4 million in fines and two years in prison.

The 60 year old Thorpe apparently forgot to pay his taxes over a three year period when his income totaled more than $5 million.

Sad.

But how can you not pay your taxes? If I had that kind of money, I’d have an accountant handling all my finances, and another accountant keeping watch on the first.

  • Maybe Jim Thorpe was hoping to get a position in the Obama administration.
