Grenade Found At Augusta ...

March 19, 2009

Augusta Municipal, that is.

A golfer looking for a lost ball at the Augusta, Georgia municipal course instead found a grenade that police believe was left over from the course’s use as a military base.

Talk about a way to ruin a round.

The more famous Augusta National was used as a cattle and turkey farm during World War II. But any “bombs” left by those are long gone.

  • On a unrelated note Carl Spackler was just hired as a groundskeeper at Augusta.
