A busines note:

Golfsmith has redesigned its website—again (I’m sure its the second time in a year.)

The new site emphasizes Golfsmith’s new tennis business, as well as their “Drive For Women” golf subsite.

I don’t typically spend a lot of time on their site, since there’s a Golfsmith on my way home from work (somewhat). But I did spend some time looking through their Outlet, which has some pretty good bargains that you don’t see in the stores.

When I visited, they had Callaway Heavenwoods for $129—I’d like to get ahold of one of these for an extended tryout—and TaylorMade RAC OS irons for $499. Both are good prices.

They also have a Clearance On The Clock section where the longer you wait, the lower the price. But you can’t wait too long, because there is a limited stock of each item.

If you haven’t tried shopping at Golfsmith, I recommend them. Every shopping experience I’ve had there—even the occasional online one—has been good.
