Golf Association of Michigan July Championship Results
From the GAM:
Emmie Pietila (Brighton) edged Alainna Stefan (Dearborn) by one stroke at the 20th GAM Women’s Championship at Gull Lake CC in Richland. Mike Doyle took individual honors to help lead Great Oaks CC’s team to victory at the 66th Caddie Championship at Plum Hollow CC. At the 95th Michigan Women’s Amateur, held at Prestwick Village GC, last year’s runner-up Christine Meier (Michigan State University/Rochester Hills) took the title 1 up over Meagan Bauer (University of Michigan/Grand Blanc). Sarah Johnson (Eastern Michigan University/Wixom) was the stroke play medalist The father/son team of Rick and Rich Rachner won the 21st GAM Net Team Championship at the University of Michigan GC. Mary Jane Hiestand and Kathy Minnich teamed up to win the 1st GAM Senior Women’s Four-Ball, held at Lochmoor Club.
