Free Golf At Kingsmill Resort Through March 15

Williamsburg, Virginia, is one of my favorite places on Earth, so I am intrigued by this offer: Free golf.

Kingsmill, a Williamsburg area Four Diamond resort is offering guests free golf on the Arnold Palmer designed Plantation Course from November 10 through March 15. That’s not prime golf weather, but in that part of Virginia, February temperatures could easily be in the low 50s. Low 50s is plenty warm for a Michigander.

Kingsmill is located just stone’s throw away, and runs multiple shuttle services each day to Colonial Williamsburg. I’ve never stayed there, but it looks nice.

That’s a photo from my last Williamsburg trip above. If you’ve never been to Colonial Williamsburg, I highly recommend it. Colonial Williamsburg is a restored, living museum of the Colonial Capital, complete with historic homes, traditional craftsmen, and more things to learn than you could absorb in a lifetime.

Kingsmill Resort Tees Up Free (Unlimited) Golf

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – November 13, 2014 – Kingsmill Resort is offering guests unlimited free golf on its Plantation Course from November 10 through March 15. The course is an Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay design that is ideal for players of all skill levels and truly historic – not just for the free golf offering but also because it’s built on the site of Richard Kingsmill’s 1736 plantation, whose land saw action in the American Revolutionary War and the Civil War.

While there are some restrictions – for example, free golf is not available on Saturdays and the offering applies to tee times after noon on the Plantation Course only – there is truly unlimited play as long as tee times are available. In addition to the great golf, Kingsmill Resort’s one- to three-bedroom suites, which include kitchens and spacious living areas, are ideal for golfers traveling with family or friends.
