Fourteen Year Old With Heart Defect To Play LPGA Event
Last year, the inaugural Ginns Open made headlines when they fulfilled a dying mother’s wish by allowing 13 year old Dakoda Dowd to play in the tournament. This year, the new Ginns Tribute tournament will offer a sponsors exemption to fourteen year old MacKinzie Kline. Kline, who has a congenital heart defect, also will be allowed to ride in a cart.
The Ginn Tribute, hosted by Annika Sorenstam, will be held at the RiverTowne Country Club Course from May 31-June 3. The purse is $2.6 million.
