Footjoy Reelfit Shoe

September 25, 2006

Footjoy’s latest is the Reelfit, a shoe with a lacing system that Footjoy says offers a custom fit with no need for relacing in the middle of a round. It’s got a dial on the rear of the shoe that you tighten to fit the laces. To remove the shoes, you just pull out the dial.

Is there such a thing as going too far with technology? This may be it. I really don’t think that the golf world is improved by a high tech lacing system. Just get a pair of shoes that fit and learn how to tie a double knot.

  • Dear GB,

I’ve tried these shoes on and have to say that they are fantastic!  The fit you can achieve with the lacing system is perfect and super fast to achieve.  I’ve included the link to them at www.GolfLocker.com where you can get a full description of how the lacing system works and how it benfits the fit of the shoe.  Also check out the RealZoom feature on the site - it’s pretty cool.

    Take care,
    Bart
